Last week, the annual Propelify Innovation Festival returned to Hoboken. The festival promotes entrepreneurship, innovation and technology through exhibitions, speakers on innovation, music, food and drink. It is aimed at start-ups, investors and other interested parties. Lined up with some of Hoboken’s most popular food he trucks, attendees were able to indulge in a variety of foods and even grab a drink from the bar.
“Propelify has been a great experience so far. It is combining the minds of a lot of different types of companies and organizations so it`s great to have everybody come together,” shared Associate Producer Bridget Greene from iWoman TV.
“Hoboken is honored to host the Propelify Festival which grew out of the NJ Tech Meet Up, founded in Hoboken by Aaron Price. And we look forward to continuing and hopefully expanding this partnership within our Hoboken community in the years ahead,” shared Councilwoman Tiffanie Fischer. “Because of this event and the amazing efforts by the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken has increasingly become known for and committed to being an innovation nexus in our region.”
“In 2020, Propelify, Stevens, the City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Public Library received a grant from the NJ Economic Development agency to partner on a feasibility study to further support innovation and inclusive entrepreneurship within our region,” she added.
“For us, Propelify represents the accumulation of innovation in New Jersey. It’s always been New York City, San Francisco [and many other markets], so it’s really special,” said Sham. “The unity around innovation happening in New Jersey is unique and means a lot to our networking. Hear about programs offered by the government and talk to other like-minded entrepreneurs.”
CEO and Co-Founder of Zing, Auishai Shham, also spoke on the importance of the Propelify Festival. “For us, Propelify represents the accumulation of innovation in New Jersey. It’s always been New York City, San Francisco [and many other markets], so it’s really special,” said Sham. “The unity around innovation happening in New Jersey is unique and means a lot to our networking.
