But Apple’s flagship earbuds are showing their age, and while they’ve been redesigned this fall with better sound, they may not be in fashionable colors…with the latest built-in processor, the M2. It has a better screen, a thinner and lighter design, better speakers, a much improved webcam, a better keyboard and trackpad, more convenient charging, and better build quality. It also comes with a higher price tag. Three new ear tip colors are available online today.
Kim Kardashian’s special edition Beats Fit Pro collection was first announced a week ago and is available now at the Apple Store. The earbuds come in her three neutral colors that Kardashian designed to match her signature palette. “It’s something I wear every day, so I want to blend in. I’ve never seen tech products in neutral colors, especially headphones,” Kardashian said in her design video. These are his first custom Beats Fit Pro since the release of his widely acclaimed earbuds last November. But if you look at Beats’ past product cycle, there’s still more to come.
Highlights
A custom URL of apple.com/kim has been added and will be available in “limited quantities at select Apple Stores” starting tomorrow, August 17th. For the United States, this includes Apple locations in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and Chicago. The Kim Kardashian Special Edition Fit Pros are $199.99. This is the same manufacturer’s suggested retail price as the regular model, but the original color is often sold. It’s currently priced at $179.99 at Apple and other retailers. As my colleague Victoria Song recently confirmed, these are great for everyday listening and are great workout her earbuds.
