The March Google Pixel update is finally available, even though it was supposed to arrive on the second Monday of the month because Google remained silent for the previous week. As many of us have been testing the stable build of Android 13 QPR2, this update is bigger than normal and contains a ton of bug fixes.
Feel free to update if you wish while we compile the complete changelog of bug fixes (here is the complete list). This version should fix any bugs that have been present since the last significant QPR1 upgrade a few months ago. In a community blog post, Google also makes reference to “new features” that will presumably be included in a Pixel Feature Drop, however the link they provide is now broken.
All of the active Pixel phones, including the Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro, have March factory images and OTA 13.0 files provided by Google to get things started. We’ll be sure to let you know if we don’t see an update for a few days.
You can find each factory image or OTA file at the URLs below. Google should soon start delivering these upgrades over-the-air (Settings>System>System update), but if you don’t want to wait and would rather update manually, you can do so now. for guidelines on flashing a factory picture.
NOTE: This is a reminder that if you are currently enrolled in the Android 13 QPR2 Beta program, you will not receive this stable QPR2 upgrade. Instead, this week you will receive Android 13 QPR3 Beta 1.
