Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC Specs, FeaturesThe Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC is manufactured on a 4nm process and features a 64-bit architecture. The chipset features Kryo cores running at up to 2.2GHz and is paired with an Adreno GPU. It offers a wide range of 5G connectivity supporting Sub-6 and mmWave. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC can support a Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It includes a Qualcomm Spectra Triple 12-bit ISP, capable of handling single-camera recordings up to 200 megapixels.

Qualcomm announced its Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoCs on Wednesday. These chipsets are designed for the mid-tier and mass volume segments respectively. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 is manufactured on a 4nm process and features a cryo core running at up to 2.2GHz. For image processing, the chipset features a Qualcomm Spectra Triple 12-bit ISP, capable of supporting gigapixel speed photo capture. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, on the other hand, will be manufactured using the 6nm process and will feature eight Kryo cores running at up to 2GHz.

It is claimed to offer up to 15% better CPU and 10% GPU performance compared to the previous Snapdragon 4 series chipset. An integrated Snapdragon X51 5G modem RF system provides his 5G connectivity at sub-6GHz. Its Qualcomm Spectra Triple ISP technology can support simultaneous photo and video shooting from three cameras, and single shots up to 108 megapixels.

  • It can record up to 4K video at 30 fps. Plus, deliver HDR games at 60 fps or higher. It includes the 7th generation Qualcomm AI Engine and the 3rd generation Qualcomm Sensing Hub for improved AI performance. Features like AI-based activity tracking, audio enhancement, and background noise cancellation can benefit from these extras. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC is compatible with the Wi-Fi 6E standard and supports Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity.

Meanwhile, Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC-based devices could arrive by Q3 2022. iQoo has confirmed that the iQoo Z6 Lite is powered by his Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC. The smartphone is expected to go on sale in India on September 14th.

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC supports up to Full HD+ (1080 x 2520 pixels) displays with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It’s equipped. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC includes the Qualcomm AI Engine and Qualcomm HVX technology for multiple mic support, far-field detection and echo cancellation. Qualcomm expects devices with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC to be available in his first quarter of 2023. Motorola has announced plans to use this chipset in its upcoming devices.
