Today a rumor out of China gives us a bunch of the handset’s specs, starting with the 6.67″ screen size, 1080×2400 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 10-bit color support. The Honor X40 is also said to sport an 8 MP selfie snapper, a 50 MP main rear camera, and a 2 MP auxiliary cam on the back.
The Honor X40 smartphone will be unveiled in full next week on September 15. Honor announced the device a few days ago, teasing that it will sport a curved screen with a notch in the centre for the selfie camera.
Highlights
Anyway, the Honor X40 is rumored to bring a 5,100 mAh battery, 300 mAh more than its predecessor, and it will support 40W fast charging. It will run Android 12 with Magic UI 6.1 on top. The phone reportedly measures 161.6 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm and weighs 172g.
Running things will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 SoC, the same chipset used in the Honor X30, the X40’s predecessor, which launched last December. Keeping the chipset unchanged is an odd choice for sure, especially seeing as how the Snapdragon 695 is far from a powerhouse.
