Today in Paris marked the start of the third leg on the HUAWEI CONNECT 2022 global tour. The event’s theme this year is “Unleash Digital,” bringing together thousands of business executives, subject matter experts, and partners from the ICT and green development sectors from around the world to discuss how all parties can more successfully unleash digital productivity, advance Europe’s green and digital transition, and fortify digital ecosystems.
Using digital technologies to drive Europe’s transformation to the digital and green economy
Ken Hu, Huawei’s rotating chairman, gave the opening keynote speech and outlined three ways the ICT ecosystem may assist in overcoming typical obstacles in digital transformation:
These three methods of fostering digital transformation are closely in line with the Digital Decade policy in Europe. In order to assist the digital and green transition plan in the region, Huawei will continue to collaborate closely with its European partners. We are dedicated to helping Europe’s economy rebound, its industries succeed, and enable sustainable development.
The digital transformation of Europe depends on the growth of the digital ecosystem and digital skills. “We are putting a lot of effort into developing an ICT infrastructure that is strong, secure, and resilient to facilitate the digitization of European industry. Together, we can create more specialized solutions for European sectors and hasten the digital transformation process. We have also developed a number of innovation and experience centers as well as OpenLabs around the city.
A prominent group of business and government executives also spoke at the event, outlining the important actions their businesses are taking to advance Europe’s digital and green transition as well as sharing their best advice and insights. Members of the European Parliament Franc Bogovi, Alain Assouline, José Donoso, Fabien Aufrechter, Gonzalo Elguezabal Ayala, Executive Director of AOTEC in Spain, and Victor Marçais, Senior Partner at Roland Berger are just a few of them. Strengthening regional industries and creating digital human resources: “In Europe, for Europe”
Huawei is also working with local partners to cultivate digital talents in the region. The company has opened a number of ICT academies in Europe and is committed to furthering the education of its students and professionals. Since 2011, Huawei has provided ICT training to over 4,000 people in 12 European countries, including the UK, France and Germany.
