The ATSC 3.0 coalition partners with a Belgian video middleware developer to produce system-on-a-chip solutions for manufacturers of smart TVs and other devices. The ATSC 3.0 coalition Pearl TV has partnered with iWedia, a subsidiary of Belgian video middleware developer Zappware, to provide NextGen TV-focused system-on-a-chip solutions to businesses that produce smart TVs and other streaming devices that run Google’s Android TV OS.

According to Pearl TV, there are currently around 110 ATSC 3.0-capable smart TV models available at retail, offered by Hisense, Sony, Samsung and LG starting at $599.
