The Rubicon Board of Directors (“Board”) today announced the appointment of Phil Rodoni as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and Board members with effect from October 13, 2022. Rubicon is a leading digital marketplace for waste and recycling and a provider of innovative software-based products to businesses and governments around the world. During this transition, Nate Morris, the company’s founder and CEO, will continue to act as chairman of the board, a director, and a strategic advisor. Osman Ahmed was chosen to lead his independent business as director.
Rodoni’s appointment as his CEO is a key part of Rubicon’s strategic plan as the company works to fulfill its mission to eliminate waste through the digital transformation of the waste and recycling industry. Rodoni has been Rubicon’s Chief Technology Officer since 2015. He joined Rubicon from Esurance, where he was Vice President of Software Development. Prior to that, he held senior technical positions at Charles Schwab and He Travelzoo.
Rodoni holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the Haas School of Business. “I am extremely honored and excited to have the opportunity to lead Rubicon as we scale our industry-leading technology platform to transform the $2.1 trillion global waste and recycling market. , the company is on a path of rapid growth,” said Rodoni.
