  • Cooler Master launches the MM712 gaming mouse today. It offers the same great features as the MM711, but with some amazing customizations. For those unfamiliar, the MM711 is one of Cooler Master’s most popular gaming mice. It’s affordable and has a lot of features like hybrid wireless connectivity with a 2.4GHz radio and Bluetooth 5.1. It also features PTFE feet, optical microswitches, and Ultraweave cables to prevent snagging.

It also has RGB functionality. In addition to the honeycomb design, these lights are easy to see when activated. This is where the new Cooler Master MM712 mouse differs.

The Cooler Master MM712 Gaming Mouse does away with the honeycomb pattern design.

Say goodbye to the honeycomb pattern of the new MM712. Cooler Master leaves MM711 behind. The good news is that the MM712 carries on the goodness of his MM711. lightweight construction. Cooler Master says that despite the design change, the overall weight of the new mouse remains the same. 59g.

The mouse also has a 19,000 dpi sensor and he has 70 million clicks. So it’s a pretty safe bet that the Switch won’t come out to you anytime soon.

That said, if an upgrade is planned and he’s already using the MM711, I’d probably recommend him sticking with the MM712, at least if you like lightweight construction. Not everyone likes this configuration, but a lightweight mouse is very good for quick movements on the mouse pad. And Cooler Master knows that too, so they didn’t want to leave out this detail in their successor.

The MM712 is available for pre-order today at $69.99, the original price of the MM711. The MM712 is also available in two color variations. black and white. Or, if you want to save a little cash, the MM711 is just $29.99 in select colorways, setting you back to its original price of $69.99.
