A new screenshot summarizing the content refers to it as a “All New Original Story with a New Cast” and features a number of series cameos at the end of the trailer for the upcoming Wave 4. It is unclear how closely this will connect to the overall events of the series.
Masha, a new hero in the third wave of the expansion pass, is a lapidarist (gemcutter) who can create new accessories out of special ore. Additionally, Wave 3 will include a rogue-lite mode where players can unlock new throwback outfits by successfully completing a fresh set of challenges.
The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass’ Wave 3 will go on sale on February 15; Wave 4 won’t come out until later in the year.
