ST. GEORGE – With events including a carnival, country concert and fireworks show, as well as an ultimate “tailgate” experience and a soccer game against conference rival Southern Utah University, the community is invited to join Utah Tech University in celebrating the institution’s Homecoming during the first week of November.
“We are excited to welcome alumni and the community to campus to celebrate this year’s Homecoming Week,” Brooke Sullivan, events and marketing coordinator for the Utah Tech Alumni Association, said in a university news release. “From carnivals and concerts to parades and football games, there is something for everyone.”
To kick off Homecoming Week, Utah Tech will host the Miss Utah Tech Pageant at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 1 in the MK Cox Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10 and are available on this website. The following day, Nov. 2, a Día de los Muertos celebration will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Kenneth N. Gardner Student Center Ballroom.
Utah Tech will kick off the weekend’s festivities with a carnival and country music concert Nov. 4 at Encampment Mall on campus. The carnival begins at 5 p.m., with the concert to follow at 7 p.m. Fireworks will follow the concert.
