Yogesh Brar has provided a wealth of information about the Redmi A1, a brand-new product line from Xiaomi. The MediaTek Helio A22, which we have already tested in low-cost smartphones like the Nokia 2.3 and the Huawei Y5 2019, is rumoured to be included in the Redmi A1, which is expected to launch tomorrow alongside the Redmi 11. As expected, Xiaomi would only add 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash storage to the Redmi A1, confirming that the phone is strictly a low-cost model.

Xiaomi’s upcoming budget smartphone, the Redmi A1, is rumoured to run Android 12. Even more affordable than devices like the Redmi 10C is the Redmi A1. • Likewise, Brar claims that the Redmi A1 will run Android 12 (Go edition), not MIUI. Incidentally, the last Xiaomi smartphone that launched without MIUI was the Mi A3, which recently received its final software update.
